Organized by the SFMOMA and adapted to the history of the New York music scene for its East Coast presentation, Pink Sparrow served as the Designer of Record and fabrication partner for the exhibition, Art of Noise at Cooper Hewitt.

The project involved collaboration with Stockholm-based Teenage Engineering — the iconic hardware company behind some of the world's most coveted synthesizers and speakers — which led the exhibition's creative vision. Pink Sparrow's role was to take that vision and build it into a fully realized, publicly accessible museum environment across multiple gallery rooms.

At the center is a complete family of custom display furniture — high tables, mid tables, and low podiums — each finished in a striking Traffic Blue. A standout is the two-section choir table anchoring Room 04 — a bespoke centerpiece built for one of the exhibition's most sonically immersive spaces. Pieces were built with integrated media player ventilation, tamper-resistant hardware, and construction fidelity to withstand the rigors of daily public use.

On view through August 16, 2026, Art of Noise presents a century of music design to New York City and visitors from around the world.
