Pink Sparrow partnered with Marc Jacobs and Dover Street Market to transform Marc’s iconic crystal-studded manicure into a 4-foot-tall 3D printed hero sculpture, installed as a striking focal point in Dover Street Market in New York and Los Angeles.

For this collaboration, Marc Jacobs and Dover Street Market sought a sculptural moment that would translate the brand’s instantly recognizable hand-and-nails imagery into an in-store artwork that felt both collectible and immersive.  Pink Sparrow was tapped to engineer and fabricate a retail-ready installation that could withstand high-traffic environments while preserving every facet, gem, and exaggerated proportion that makes the nails a cult visual.

Working from Marc Jacobs’ reference imagery of Marc’s hand and his famous, rhinestone-studded long nails, Pink Sparrow’s design team created a detailed 3D model that exaggerated scale while maintaining anatomical realism and the precise nail silhouettes. Each nail was individually studded with oversized “jewel” elements and metallic details that mirror Marc Jacobs’ embellished manicure, scaled up so every facet reads clearly from across the Dover Street Market sales floor.  The final piece mounts to a low-profile base engineered for stability in crowded retail environments, allowing guests to move 360 degrees around the sculpture and capture social-friendly content without disrupting store circulation.
